About

Laura Manescau is an artist born in Argentina in 1978. She discovered her passion for drawing and visual expression when she was a very young child. One day, while walking down the street with her mother, she saw a cartoonist drawing a child with glasses and freckles. She still remembers how much she admired that drawing, and how the crowd laughed and enjoyed the moment. Right then, she knew she wanted to become an artist, and she spent many years working and developing her skills as a self-taught artist.

Later, she moved to Spain, where she continued to develop her artistic career and showcased her art in several figurative and abstract painting exhibitions. Over the years, her talent also took her all over the world to international festivals in countries like Macedonia, Egypt, Austria, Germany, Italy, and Spain itself, where she worked drawing custom illustrations and caricatures of the guests.

After her time in Europe, Laura moved to the United States and lived in Texas working as an illustrator. During her career, she also showcased her paintings in exhibitions across the United States. For over 15 years, she has been running her own company, "Finger Prints Art," drawing live caricatures at weddings and special events.

Later, as an adult, Laura moved to Scotland to expand her education and formally studied Visual Communication at Edinburgh College, where she won the illustration award. In Scotland, she continued to exhibit her figurative and abstract artwork. During this period, she specialized in drawing faces, creating beautiful portraits, and working as a muralist to paint large-scale art on walls.

Beyond her commercial work, Laura's art is deeply inspired by her inner world. She has a strong fascination with the world of the occult, transpersonal psychology, and the world of dreams, which adds a unique and meaningful layer to her creative vision.
